You have the right to appeal

You can negotiate — especially with hospitals

PaymentYou do not have to pay a large bill all at once. Ask the hospital and each provider's billing office: Do you offer a payment plan? Most do, and many are interest-free. Never put a medical bill on a high-interest credit card before exploring this option.
